If you're looking for a relaxing, pampering, phenomenal getaway, look no further. Our family of 11, ages 73 - 1 year old, stayed at Villa Del Mar for Spring Break, and this was absolutely the perfect fit for us. Much of our time was spent enjoying the awesome pool and outdoor space, and that Ingrid checked on us regularly for a Presidente, Cuba Libre or Pina Colada refills, made it even more special and relaxing. Travelling with little ones can be a major hassle, but believe me when I tell you that Cindy and John have everything there you can possibly need for your little ones! Julio gassed up the golf cart for us and our 14 year old grandson enjoyed being our chauffer for the week, with very frequent rides down the hill to Juans ... a local grocer who has just about anything you need. We were also just a golf cart ride away from Ocean World which is a MUST DO when you're there, and is well worth the price of admission. We ate out only one time as the meals prepared for us by Mercy and Ingrid were all delicious. Our 4 year old granddaughter turned 5 a few days after we returned home, so we asked Julio if they could get us a birthday cake and candle so we could celebrate our last night there. Of course they went over the top -- Ingrid decorated with pink and white balloons, and the cake they purchased was delicious with a "rocket type" candle in it!! I could go on and on about this place, so will just end by saying that if you have the opportunity, do make this place your home for however long you can stay -- you won't be disappointed! Cindy and John were awesome to work with (we planned this 2 years ago and due to COVID were finally able to get there this year), and Julio, Mercy and Ingrid are fabulous .... the only thing you'll regret when you leave is that you can't take them home with you!!!

Perfect Vacation –
From beginning to end, everything was absolutely PERFECT! The owners, John and Cindy, were a pleasure to deal with. They were prompt in answering questions and extremely patient. The detailed information sent to us prior to arrival was exactly what a planner like myself longs for! Details about the villa, culture, excursions and restaurants. The caring staff and beautiful villa…I can’t say enough about how wonderful everything was during our stay. Julio, Mercy and Ingrid felt like family by the time our vacation was drawing to a close. They were always positive, energetic and willing to go above and beyond anything we needed. It was so nice to not have any worries during our stay. Even our laundry was clean and neatly folded in our rooms each day by lunch! The kids loved the virgin pina coladas throughout the day by the pool. The food Mercy and Ingrid served was amazing! We ate way too much but enjoyed every minute of it! Julio was extremely helpful and always willing to run out and buy extras of whatever we wanted-ice cream run for the kids several times. Gus guided us in arranging two excursions while visiting. We did the 12 waterfall tour and ATVs to a private beach. Some also enjoyed Ocean World. Each excursion was an adventure and priceless memories were made. We had several massages, hair braiding and our teen girls had manicures and pedicures all at the villa. We left feeling rested and wishing our stay could be extended. We will definitely return in the future.

Restful trip to paradise
We had a wonderful stay at the villa in Confressi. Location was an easy walk to beach, store and a couple restaurants and about a 15 minute drive from town. The Villa staff were friendly and helpful and made sure all of our needs were taken care of. One guest in our party has celiac disease and everyone was really great about accommodating and making sure there was no cross contamination. The owners went as far as calling a local restaurant we were going to so they were aware of the allergy. Easy communication with owners, property manager and house staff. Thank you for letting us enjoy your special place, we had an amazing time!

Perfect Family Trip
Everything was so easy. From the moment we booked the trip. John and Cindy were great hosts and always available. The staff at the house was amazing! They become part of your family. Food was amazing too!

Talk about all inclusive, without the crowds.
From the moment we all got off the flight and were greeted until we were dropped off to leave, I felt like I was at a very exclusive resort with all the amenities. Cindy and John thought of everything. I didn't have to get up early to save a place by the pool, make reservations for dinner, worry about what the other travelers were doing or if they were content. The Villa is beautiful, clean and well appointed. Julio, Mercy and Ingrid were an amazing part of the entire experience. The food was so delicious. There are activities that can be arranged if that is what type of vacation people are looking for. Nearly all eight people took advantage of the massages, manicures and pedicures. I would bring more cash next time for the activities and the spa treatments. Looking forward to going back again.

Relaxing vacation
This house is not only beautiful but the outdoor space has plenty of seating options for everyone. The pool is big too. The maids and groundskeeper made the vacation very relaxing!! They cooked, cleaned, and insisted we didn’t do anything on our vacation. There’s fruit trees in the grassy back yard. The most relaxing vacation we have ever had! I would recommend this place to anyone!!!

The perfect vacation!!
We had an absolutely wonderful time in Cofresi! Everything was EXACTLY as described online and in the documents Cindy provided prior to travel. The staff was AMAZING. We travel frequently, but this is the first time we've ever rented a house with a staff abroad. It was simply perfection. When I awoke every morning, Julio was already busy cleaning the pool and doing odd jobs around the house. He was always available to run to the store and to translate as needed. Mercy's cooking was amazing and her drinks divine. Our favorites: Paella, Shepard's Pie, her coleslaw, chicken and any and all rice/beans. My sons drank approximately 1,532 virgin pina coladas and strawberry daiquiris. Ingrid kept the space very clean and our clothes were washed before I even knew they were dirty!! Having a watchman overnight was also reassuring, even though we felt very safe. We did several excursions that we scheduled with Gus, who comes to the home your first or second day. The best two were the 12 Waterfalls Tour and the day we spent at Oceanworld. The Royal Dolphin Swim was well worth the money! The Cofresi and Puerto Plata area have been devastated by the lack of tourism due to COVID. The locals were happy to have our business and we were happy to be there. The beach isn't the greatest, but we went walking there every day and enjoyed it. If you are the type of family that enjoys pool time and/or excursions (like our family does), this is the PERFECT house for you!!

In a word, paradise! The house was amazing- the views, the many, many different areas to congregate or spend alone time, the pool, the wicker rocking chairs, the hammocks, the privacy and safety, the 3 min walk to a beautiful sandy beach and fabulous Mexican restaurant (Charro’s) - all excellent!!!!! But most lovely, were the staff- Julio, Mercedes and Ingrid went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable, well taken care of, all satisfied (with a party of 11 people with many food restrictions-this was not easy!!), and became like family over our week stay. The coordination with Gustavo for the various excursion choices was effortless and the two day trips we went on (snorkeling in Sosúa beach and the City tour) were super fun and made beautiful memories for many years to come! The COVID testing procedure for re-entry back to the US was beyond easy and efficient- we paid before our trip, lab came to the house to administer tests and we had results back the same day. The night watchman/security was great too, and all around we felt like we were visiting at a family members home. Two areas of improvement for our groups liking would be a better wifi/streaming connection for watching movies in the living room, and a Bluetooth speaker system in the back porch/pool area where we spent most of our time. All in all we were super impressed and fell in love! We will definitely be returning to this beautiful property- very highly recommended!! The owners John & Cindy were amazing to communicate with and made the whole planning process very easy. Great property and management!!!!

You simply won't find a more relaxing family vacation! Cindy and John leave no stone unturned and create the perfect environment for relaxation. The housestaff is friendly and very accommodating. Julio even went out of his way to ensure my 9 y/o son could play baseball with the Dominican boys! What a cool experience for him and his dad. Despite the great reviews and pictures online, they did not do justice to the pampering and personal attention we received. Our laundry was done daily (that was amazing) and our meals were prepared to our liking and at the times we requested. Julio helped set up transportation and gave us recommendations for everything we needed. Our airport transportation was perfect and right on time. We traveled in a comfortable Toyota Sienna with great A/C. Mercy and Inge were such great hosts making special meals and smoothies for the kids. Oh yeah, and the pool/outdoor area is the best! Absolutely perfect for our kids and us! I highly recommend booking with John and Cindy, but save us a week because we will be back!

From the moment I had my first phone conversation with John (owner) I knew I had found the right location. I am one of those people that reads and analyzes reviews carefully before making a choice, can I say how pleased I am to have chosen Vista del Mar as the place to visit. Lets begin with the actual Villa, its clean and impecable appearance will take your breath away upon your arrival! We were a group of 13 and at no moment did we ever feel crowded. The rooms are very spacious and the privilege most bedrooms (except two) having their own bathroom is an added bonus. For those two bedrooms that don't have a bathroom inside the bedroom they will find them right in front of the room. Air conditioners in every room work in excellent conditions. The pool area is amazing!!! Exactly as seen in the pictures. The pool is well balance and safe for those with small children and also a space for adults (6ft). When they say beachfront they really mean it, the beach is literally a 5 minute walk away. Now, that covers the aesthetic component of the wonderful place. Once you meet Mercy and Julio and their team you understand why this place is a hit! This team of humble, loving and serving individuals are really there to meet all of your needs. They are extremely respectful and their presence is never invasive. Everyday they would arrive with the same love and care and perform their daily responsibilities. They make sure the house remains spotless, wash your clothing and prepare some of the most amazing meals I've ever tasted. A true definition of a vacation in my opinion. At night the guard would sit faithfully outside the Villa to ensure everyone was safe. We felt so secured in this place that we allowed my 86 year aunt to sleep in the only bedroom on the first floor, while everyone slept upstairs. I feel as if John and Cindy have thought of everything in preparation of this oasis. Yes you read correctly. Vista del Mar is a small piece of heaven that has fallen from the sky and landed in the Dominican Republic. I can't wait to return and if you are reading this review I could guarantee you that your search is over! We were hoping to travel before spring break somewhere quiet and safe. Cindy was extremely responsive and helpful in making this a perfect vacation. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating and eager to please and the most friendly group to spend a quiet week together. We hardly knew they were there but were so quick to make smoothies and treats and accommodate every request. The house is simply gorgeous and spotless. The AC works very well and the pool and deck are just the most relaxing place to get away. The little town is simple and safe. The beach is small (which is why I gave 4 stars) however the upside of this is you really have a quiet and remote vacation without resort crowds. We went into nearby towns for meals and excursions which our teenagers really enjoyed. Could not ask for a more perfect vacation and the kids are already clamoring to go back. Thank you so much to the staff for making such an enjoyable vacation and to Cindy and John for hosting us in their gorgeous estate.

I have stayed at Villa Vista del Mar twice with private groups of yogis. We used the ample and quiet outdoor spaces for yoga classes. The food is cooked to the needs of all individuals in the group and is always delicious! Service in the villa is 100% on point making for a hassle free stay. The location is not only close to the beach, but right amidst all of the gorgeous landscapes the North Coast has to offer. Visiting Puerto Plata and staying in this villa is a truly divine experience. I fully recommend this space for groups of all kinds! November, 2020

With ample space and an attentive staff that will ensure your stay is nothing short of perfection, Villa Vista del Mar is everything and more one could ask for in a vacation rental. From the airport to the moment you arrive at the Villa you are greeted by a friendly and hospitable staff. I cannot recommend this place enough.

We loved the clean beautiful tropical home with the large pool and outside area. The maids and overseer took care of our every need. The food was excellently prepared. It was a great experience for our family.

All-Inclusive with a Personal Touch!

My friends and I can't say enough good about our week at Vista Del Mar! We were in disbelief the entire time, and commented repeatedly about how amazed we were with the pampering and personalized service we were receiving every minute if the day. The cooking, the cleanliness, the attitude of the staff,...every little detail was spot on and beyond anything we have experienced or would dare to expect! Now, the bar is set very high! Can't wait to return!

Julio, Mercy, and Ingrid have spoiled us totally! The vacation began at the airport, where we didn't have to worry about finding our way - and it continued with fun trips, relaxation, great food and such nice people. The Villa is absolutely beautiful. Our group's ages are spread from 18 to 78, but Gus worked with us to find tours that were right for everyone. The family favorites were the catamaran and snorkeling for all, and the Jeep safari for the younger folks. We especially enjoyed Mercy's cooking and having everything all set up for us so we could eat when we wanted to. I can't say enough about how friendly and considerate all of the staff were to our family; Ingrid wouldn't let us do anything. The beautiful setting and being surrounded by friendly people made this trip one of our favorites.

An Absolute Gem!!! While yes this villa seems too good to be true, it's not. The pictures don't actually do it justice. Our group included 4 couples but the villa could have accommodated a much larger group comfortably. The staff though was the real value in this villa. Julio, Mercy, and Ingrid were so unbelievably attentive and focused on making your vacation the best ever it blew us away. We only had one meal away from our home away from home. I would recommend you do the same. Mercy is a fabulous cook and cooking is my part time hobby. Julio did whatever needed to get done and did it now. Gus came to the Villa Sunday morning and we had all our excursions planned and paid for within an hour, all we did was enjoy, and did we ever. The Jeep Safari was a wonderful way to see the real Dominican and was an outstanding value for what you received. The owner Cindy was so incredibly accommodating and responsive it was a true joy to work with her. My e-mails were normally answered within an hour or so. If you and your family or friends want a truly relaxing vacation in a luxury destination then this is what you've been looking for. Thanks to Cindy and the whole staff at the Villa for making our vacation one to remember.

We found paradise! This was the best vacation ever. It is as beautiful and as nice as the pictures. The best part is absolutely the staff. They are warm friendly and Macy is one exceptional cook! After one day the six of us were convinced, we found paradise!!
